Walk 3 highest peaks in UK

Doelstelling

On the 26 of July, Declan Reilley, Declan Walsh, Alistair Turner (walkers/climbers) and Ian Sandford (driver/search and rescue) are attempting to conquer the 3 highest peaks in the UK,- Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mt. Snowdon in (roughly) 24 hrs. While attempting this MONUMENTAL event we thought it would be a good idea to make a positive point to the whole thing and raise money for charity. We chose animals and will raise money for the WSPA, the WSPA is one of the most distinguished and reputable animal welfare organisations.

Donating to animals is a worthwhile cause which most people can relate to, for reasons from cruelty and neglect of domestic animals, to the protection and conservation of wild animals and their habitats. We are asking you to sponsor us to complete this near impossible task and donate for the welfare of animals. So whether you prefer to give money to help wild exotic animals in the rain forest, or to help local cats and dogs being kicked around here's the place to donate.

We wanted to specifically donate to monkeys, donkeys and bears (excl. pandas) but elitism is not encouraged by the WSPA. There will not be a sponsor form as we are not trusted to handle hard cash. WSPA has been promoting animal welfare for more than 25 years. Their work is concentrated in regions of the world where few, if any, measures exist to protect animals. WSPA's work is focused on four priority animal welfare areas:

- Companion animals, responsible pet ownership, humane stray management and cruelty prevention.

- Commercial exploitation of wildlife, intensive farming and the cruel management and killing of wild animals for food or by-products.

- Farm animals, intensive farming, long distance transport and slaughter of animals for food.

- Disaster management, providing care to animals suffering as a result of man-made or natural disasters, and thereby protecting people's livelihoods.
